Sometimes it is really good to stop and assess if you are where you want be. We make plans and work towards goals but how often do we stop and assess if what we have done takes us closer to or further away from our goal? Are we on track or are we blindly digging a hole – just hoping for the best?
This week I read about a 7 Link Challenge. The idea is that a writer links and comments on 7 specified posts on their site and on one other site belonging to another blogger. I thought that this would be an excellent way of doing my own report card and opening it up to the most important people – you the reader – to comment on. The topics were chosen by Darren at Problogger
My first post
Although my first post was only written about 4 months ago I have come such a long way since then. Thankfully the posts quickly stopped being about me and became about you dear reader – what you want to read and how I can share my knowledge to assist and inspire you.
The post I enjoyed writing the most
Disappointment –keep dancing was the post that I have enjoyed writing most. In truth there was not really much writing in it but the sentiment and the message was especially for my lovely daughter. The song sums up totally what I wish for her.
A post which had a great discussion
For a relatively new blog, I have been very lucky to receive the number of comments that I have done. However the comments on the Law of Attraction post really did show me that people can have very different views on things.
A post on someone else’s blog that I wish I had written
Gosh where do you start to answer this question? There are so many great posts out there. This morning I read perhaps the best post I have ever read about overwhelm. It gave advice that was simple and it gave it in a calm, gentle and reassuring way. If a person was truly overwhelmed I would recommend that they read Manal’s post.
My most helpful post
I don’t know if the life lessons post was the most helpful that I have written but it was definitely the post that touched most people. It was written from my heart and I think that is good place to come from.
A post with a title that I am proud of
I really have not come up with a show stopping post title yet. I think the best one so far has been The Pen is mightier than the Prozac.
A post that I wish more people had read
I have a two way tie this section. Both of the posts were about change and what stops us trying things because “change” has such bad press. I would have loved more people to have read these posts and realised that change is a friend and a great way to enhance our lives.
It is still early days but one thing I realise from doing this exercise is that there are a lot of people who have helped me get to this point.
I am very grateful to Karen Ruby who was the inspiration for this post and who has taken the time to give me information and encouragement.
Thank you also to Abubakar Jamil and Joanna Paterson who gave me the opportunity to have my posts read by many more people.
I also owe a debt of gratitude to the community of bloggers at the A list blogging forum who are probably the friendliest, most knowledgeable and supportive group of people I have ever come across.
So dear reader, as the most important person here, it’s your turn to complete a section of my report card for the first 4 months. Leave you comment to tell me what you think. What have have enjoyed, what would you like to see more or less of. I would love to hear from you.

Marion,
Wow, it good to know more about you and blog itself. You have done very well for being only 4 month old blog! that is a great achievement, I am so impressed and proud of you.
Are you part of A list blogging community? having support always helps. Great job.
Thank you so much for you kind words and your encouragement Preeti.
I am part of the community at the A list and as you say it is great to have their support and input. I will look out for you there.

Marion,
You are welcome. I know and read many blogs from Alist bloggers camp, I just did not know you were also part of it. It is great I can see. As much as I like to attend, it is not on our budget yet. But no worries, I am making on own, slowly till then.
Again congratulations!
Hi Preeti
Never be on your own. If I can be a sounding board or share the bits of knowledge I have please contact me. Life is a team game.
Best wishes
Marion
Marion,
How can I be alone with wonderful online friends? I agree, life is a team game.
Marion: What a great job you have done in these 4 months … very impressive and congratulations. I totally agree with you that the A List Blogging Community is great. I really have had so many positive experiences in our personal development blogosphere. It has been so great to get to read your thoughts and insights and I am very much looking forward to reading all your future posts. Happy 4 Month Blog Anniversary.
Hi Sibyl
Thank you for your lovely word and blogging anniversary wishes.
My biggest learning in these 4 months is that bloggers, whether part of a forum or own their own – no matter what their particular niche is – are one of the most supportive group of people I have met.
Hi Marion,
I enjoyed this post. I saw Karen’s a few days ago and thought it sounded like fun. I’m glad you did it. I’m kind of swamped at the moment, so I don’t know that I’ll get around to it. I’ll see you on the forum at A List Blogging!
Thanks Angela
It really was fun to do. I can recommend it. I see you have been busy. I loved your post at the Daily Brainstorm.
Marion
Marion, This was really a worthwhile challenge. I enjoyed reading your choices, and my favorite was “The one lesson I wish I had learned earlier in life.” If I were you, I’d give myself an A+ for this assignment!
Thank you Madeleine
I enjoyed doing this challenge. “The one lesson I wish I had learned earlier in life” is probably the most popular post I have written to date. It was the one I found easiest to write probably because it came from my heart.
